Michael Wilton-Cox leads the team, and has been a Business Consultant and Interim Manager/Director for over 21 years. He is the founder and Director of Rapier Management Consultants Ltd, which he set up in 1989 to provide a comprehensive Consultancy and Interim Management service to businesses.
He has gained a great deal of experience at senior and board level in many companies and across a wide range of very different industries, including manufacturing, business to business and services, and in companies varying in size, from small businesses with a few people to large multi-nationals, and in countries spanning Europe, North and South America, Scandinavia, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East, as well as the UK.
He has an MBA from Henley Management College, gained whilst at the same time managing an international telecommunications company.
His main business focus is on Business Recovery/Turnaround, Change Management, Corporate Restructuring, Strategic Corporate and Marketing Planning, Business Planning, Mentoring, Marketing and assisting any company that has problems and difficulties.
He undertakes Interim Manager/Director assignments himself, but if his experience does not cover the role or job, he has a number of Interims available who will be introduced to the client where appropriate.
He also creates and presents seminars on a number of subjects, and is a visiting lecturer in Marketing, Corporate Strategy and Project Management at Anglia Ruskin University and a guest lecturer in Strategic Marketing at Cambridge Marketing College. His affiliations are: Fellow, Chartered Management Institute; Fellow, RSA; Member, Chartered Institute of Marketing; Member, Institute of Directors, Member, Freelance Directors Ltd.
He has been a Non-Executive Director of an NHS PCT as well as a number of private companies (including Non-Executive Chairman of two).
